Colorado mountain skies are one-of-a-kind, in my opinion.
Hiking with kids often involves choosing a spot to "have adventures" and hanging out for a time, which then necessitates finding a comfy spot to relax. In the Indian Peaks near Brainard Lake, a giant rock with a flattish top provided the ideal place for cloudwatching, an under-appreciated and often forgotten craft in the busy world of the day-to-day.
Peaceful.
As a note: "cloudwatching" is apparently not a word in the auto-spell check.
I think it should be.
It's much less cumbersome than cloud-watching,
and more self-encompassing than cloud watching.
Such a lovely new word:
cloudwatching
cloudwatching
cloudwatching
