Hungry, Hungry Birdies

Oh, to be baby birdies...

Every movement near the nest might mean a mouthful
of chewed-up bugs.

Or it might only be me.

With a camera.

Chirp! Chirp! Chirp! Chirp! Chirp! Chirp!

Under the Lemon Balm

How delightful would it be to live in a little Lemon Balm house?

My son has been creating a home for the Lemon Balm fairy, who lives in the leaves, but needs space to play, eat, and entertain.

We certainly hope she visits often!

Cloudwatching

Colorado mountain skies are one-of-a-kind, in my opinion.
Hiking with kids often involves choosing a spot to "have adventures" and hanging out for a time, which then necessitates finding a comfy spot to relax. In the Indian Peaks near Brainard Lake, a giant rock with a flattish top provided the ideal place for cloudwatching, an under-appreciated and often forgotten craft in the busy world of the day-to-day.

Peaceful.

As a note: "cloudwatching" is apparently not a word in the auto-spell check.
I think it should be.

It's much less cumbersome than cloud-watching,
and more self-encompassing than cloud   watching.

Such a lovely new word:
cloudwatching
cloudwatching
cloudwatching
